Kyle is 21 years old and is focused upon global impact and making a difference by first serving as a federal prosecutor and/or Foreign Service Officer prior to entering national politics and public service. He is a 4.0 junior at the Westover Honors College at the University of Lynchburg and currently serves as an SGA Senator, a Bonner Leader, and the University’s inaugural intern at the Lynchburg City Council.
Kyle had planned on attending the U.S. Naval Academy and becoming a Navy SEAL as a segue into a political career. However, eight years ago he was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes (T1D). Rather than giving up on his dreams, he resolved to become a global leader by "Saving Lives by Never Giving Up" and formed Kyle’s Campaigns for Change (KCC) with two areas of focus: Humanitarian and Policy.
Over the past three years, KCC-Humanitarian has provided nearly two million dollars of insulin and diabetic supplies to diabetes clinics in Uganda, South Sudan, and Sudan. In 2019, Kyle gave several speeches on KCC and Africa's diabetic issues, including the Davos-on-the-Delta conference in Memphis, TN, and the Keynote Speech at the PWCS Global Leadership conference (audience of nearly 2,000) to a standing ovation. Kyle is currently working with the Sudan government as well as several international NGOs to provide nearly-expired insulin to diabetes clinics in Sudan. KCC is currently the onlyauthorized entity to identify, screen, and approve other charity groups desiring to import/donate nearly-expired insulin into Sudan. This effort required extensive interaction and visits with Ministers in Khartoum as well as with former Ambassadors in the United States.
Kyle served as a U.S. Senate Page on behalf of Senator Mark Warner (Democrat-Virginia) living and attending school in Washington, D.C. while working in the U.S. Senate Chamber in the Spring 2020. He and 29 other young future leaders gained a unique perspective of federalism while closely interacting with our country's leadership. The Pages’ personalities were a mirror image of the United States, and so Kyle uniquely served as a bridge between the Republican and Democrat Pages’ sometimes polarizing views and helped everyone get along.
This experience inspired Kyle to develop a project promoting federalism in South Sudan with nine Page classmates as part of the KCC-Policy arm. Kyle and his team of ten former Pages, including Pages from both Republican and Democrat Majority/Minority Senators, multiple genders, and multiple races originated the "Federalist Letters of South Sudan," consisting of essays on various federalism-based concepts oriented to helping the new government of South Sudan avert a return to civil war and develop a new constitution. Kyle personally presented this project to the South Sudan First Vice President, the Minister of Federal Affairs, and several other Ministers in October 2020.
In March of 2022, Kyle founded his second organization called Row4Life (https://row4life.org/) to “nurture exceptional leadership through bringing the sport of rowing to South Sudan as a means of creating South Sudan’s leaders of tomorrow” while also helping to mitigate ongoing ethnic lethal violence (e.g., civil war). Row4Life’s program consists of placing erg concept 2 rowing machines, which measure athletic ability in rowing, in youth concentrated areas in all ten States throughout South Sudan so that natural athletes among the South Sudanese can be found. South Sudan is home to the tallest and strongest young men and women in the world. Once identified, these young men and will be groomed for scholarships to UK and US rowing schools and eventually form a South Sudan Olympic team.
Row4Life served as the inspiration for the Row4Life Global Diversity Initiative (R-GDI; https://R-GDI.org)) whose aim is to promote global diversity among future global leaders. This will be accomplished through placing erg Concept-2 rowing machines in university campuses across the U.S. and the world. Each club will be formed by one of the university’s student leaders that likely participate in student government, Model EU/UN, or are a former U.S. Senate Page. These student leaders will form and lead rowing clubs that promote global diversity, but will use the imagery and success of the young men and women in South Sudan and Row4Life as inspiration.
Kyle's recent achievements include serving as the inaugural intern for the Lynchburg city Council as a Bonner Leader. In the summer of 2023, he also interned at the South Sudan Ministry of Federal Affairs advising on policy and incorporating Federalism into the Constitution. For his numerous public service efforts Kyle has won a Clinton Global Initiative Fellowship and Newman Civic Fellowship while numerous articles have been written about his various public service efforts. He has also given a variety of public speeches at at numerous venues concerning diabetes advocacy, global leadership and public service which can all be watched below.
Kyle has also served as the inspiration for other organizations, such as Spread Your Wings (https://www.syw-impact.org/), focused on empowering women in South Sudan and Help Kids 2 Live (https://helpkids2live.org), focused on helping orphanage in South Sudan.
